Vision Ophthalmology Group (VOG) acquires MED Medical Products GmbH
01.10.2018 – Frankfurt, Germany – Vision Ophthalmology Group (VOG) is pleased to announce the acquisition of MED Medical Products GmbH effective immediately.
MED is a specialist producer of customized procedure packs and disposable products used in ophthalmic surgery based in Karlstein, Germany and was founded in 1997. MED will operate as an independent business within VOG under the leadership of the current management team of Thomas Neumann (Managing Director) and Hariet Dörling (Customer Service Manager). MED will continue to serve its customers with dedication and quality as it always has.

Founder and CEO Andrew Geddes to become Chairman of Vision Ophthalmology Group from 1 April 2018, Roland Bruhin to succeed as CEO Vision Ophthalmology Group (VOG) acquires MSMmedcare GmbH
27.03.2018 – Roßdorf, Germany – Vision Ophthalmology Group (VOG), the leading provider of innovative solutions, products and services to ophthalmic surgeons in Europe, today announces that its founding member and Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), Andrew Geddes, has decided to move into the position of Chairman of the Advisory Board after having successfully formed and grown Vision Ophthalmology Group since 2015. He will be succeeded as CEO by Roland Bruhin, previously CEO of Zuellig Asia Pacific, a family-owned multi-billion revenue speciality healthcare distribution business serving 300,000 healthcare professionals across 15 Asian markets.
Roland Bruhin became the CEO Healthcare Distribution and Commercialization of Zuellig Asia Pacific in 2011 and has previously held various other positions during 15 years with the company. Before joining Zuellig Asia Pacific, he spent five years at Sika, the listed Swiss speciality chemicals company, and Wander, the food division of Sandoz / Novartis. Roland holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a MBA from the London Business School.

Vision Ophthalmology Group (VOG) acquires MSMmedcare GmbH
18.08.2017 – Roßdorf, Germany – Vision Ophthalmology Group (VOG) is pleased to announce the addition to the group, through medilas ag, of MSMmedcare GmbH, a leading ophthalmic distributor in western Switzerland.
Based in Rickenbach, MSMmedcare was formed in 1999 and has a strong history of innovation and service to its customers in the French speaking regions of Switzerland, delivering products that enable surgeons to provide successful outcomes for their patients.
As MSMmedcare and medilas join forces it will create added value for current customers of both companies and Yvon Roud and Pierre-André Kolly, the owners of MSMmedcare, will strengthen the regional team at medilas while continuing to service their customers. “We are very pleased to have found an experienced, strong partner in medilas, who share our values” they said.
