In his most recent executive position Roland was CEO Healthcare Distribution and Commercialization at Zuellig Pharma Asia Pacific and has previously held various other positions during 15 years with the company. Before joining Zuellig Asia Pacific, Roland spent five years at Sika, the listed Swiss speciality chemicals company, and Wander, the food division of Sandoz / Novartis. Roland holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a MBA from the London Business School.

Oliver joined the VOG in 2017 having more than 23 years relevant financial professional experience. Prior he joined VOG group he was responsible for several transactions within private equity owned international companies across Europe. Oliver has more than 10 years relevant experience in driving growth for companies in the health care sector. Oliver started his career as investment banking associate in the areas of structured finance, M&A and IPO.

With over 18 years experience in the Ophthalmic Surgical industry, Jackie brings considerable knowledge and experience to the Vision Ophthalmology Group. She has worked for Spectrum Ophthalmics, the UK’s leading independent ophthalmic distribution company and during this time she was also involved with the strategic planning team which launched Spectrum-Thea (now Thea Pharmaceuticals UK Ltd) in the optometric and ophthalmic therapeutic market with the start-up of Spectrum Thea, a joint venture company between Spectrum and Thea Pharmaceuticals. Jackie has launched several new surgical innovations into the market including the Glaukos iStent and prior to this several innovative refractive technologies. Jackie has played a key role in managing and developing sales personnel and has a recognised professional experience in proctoring surgeons with several new surgical techniques alongside many innovative products. Jackie has a wealth of clinical experience grown from working with international suppliers and Ophthalmic surgeons around the United Kingdom and internationally.

Disposable products strategy, development and integration, Group marketing
Having spent more than 25 years in the ophthalmic industry David brings a wealth of experience to Vision Ophthalmology Group. He has worked in the international business environment for over 20 years in sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility in companies such as Bausch and Lomb and Medtronic. He also spent four years in the US in international marketing for Storz Ophthalmics and was closely involved in the development and launch of several key cataract surgery products. Most recently David has managed the distributor business for Surgical Specialties Corporation, initially the ophthalmic group in EMEA and subsequently as Vice President of EMEA and Australasia.

Diagnostic portfolio strategy and new diagnostic technologies
Holger Ruchatz has a scientific background and has worked in international business development, marketing and product management within the optical and ophthalmic industries since 2003. His core expertise lies within the OEM and diagnostic markets. At Prior Scientific Instruments, a UK manufacturer of microscope accessories, he developed the company’s OEM market for the DACH region and set up a wholly owned subsidiary in Germany. From 2010-2016 Holger Ruchatz worked as Business Sector Director at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG in Jena, Germany, where he was involved in the development and global launch of a range of basic diagnostic devices for ophthalmology and optometry.
